Magkraft’s NDT ultraviolet black lights are specialized in inspection equipment that emits ultraviolet light to indicate invisible defects present in the materials. UV black lights are reveal fluorescent detect tiny cracks, leaks, or surface flaws with zero damage to the object. The lights are well known throughout various industries, as they help to show the visibility of defects for safer and more reliable quality control and maintenance.
What Are UV Black Lights?
UV black lights are special lamps that emit ultraviolet (UV) light, mostly in the UV range (around 365 nanometers), which is invisible to the human eye. They are designed to make fluorescent materials glow, revealing hidden details or substances. Commonly used in fields like NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), forensics, and entertainment, UV black lights help detect cracks, leaks, or stains not visible under normal lighting.

UV Black Lights Working?
NDT ultraviolet black light technology works with ultraviolet lamps that emit radiation of an invisible 365-nanometer wavelength. When the UV light is applied to surfaces treated with fluorescent materials such as or powders, these absorb the UV energy and emit visible light, appearing to glow. This fluorescence highlights imperfections like cracks, leaks, or contamination, which would otherwise be difficult to detect. The black light fits the specific wavelength that increases the contrast between indication of flaws and the background, leading to more accurate and reliable inspection with no damage inflicted on the tested material.
Main Kinds of UV Lights
