Standard MPI Machine
Our standard MPI Machine test bench units set the standard for MPI inspection. They are used across a wide range of industries, such as automotive, fasteners, hand tools, oil field equipment, railways, and education & training for the detection of surface & subsurface defects. These benches are two vector MPI Machines. A circular magnetic field is generated by clamping the part between the headstock & tailstock & passing a current through the part. Parts with a central bore can be tested using the threaded bar method. The longitudinal magnetic field is generated by using an encircling coil.
Suitable for light to moderate production loads.
Magnetization time of 1.0 seconds allows for the complete development of
indications.
Available in various amperages, part lengths & coil diameters.
Dark room with a ventilation fan & white light is included in all models
for testing with fluorescent powders.
Features
- Independent current control for Circular and longitudinal magnetization in the MPI Machine.
- Independent transformers for Circular and longitudinal magnetization, thereby avoiding the use of noisy changeover switches.
- Digital, stepless current control.
- Two large digital readout ampere meters with retention.
Pneumatic clamping. - Stainless Steel liquid storage tank.
- Reverse agitation bath system.
- AC/HWDC changeover for headshot
- Continuously movable tailstock with cam lock
- V Blocks for job placement
- Integrated decaying-AC demagnetization with automatic control

Coating Thickness Measurements by eddy current testing machine
Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method widely used to measure the thickness of non-conductive and conductive coatings over conductive substrates. This technique is especially useful for applications in aerospace, automotive, and...
Eddy Currents Application Testing Procedures
Eddy currents are electrical currents induced in a conductor by a time-varyingmagnetic field. Eddy currents flow in a circular pattern, but their paths are oriented perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. The Eddy current inspection method is a highly...
